The City of Vincent is seeking nominations from interested persons in our Community to become members on the following Advisory Groups and Working Groups until 18 October 2019.
(Up to 10 Community Representatives with relevant experience in the Arts) This Group plays an important role in encouraging and promoting Arts in the City of Vincent, particularly through the provision of expertise and opinion to the City regarding its public art commissions and percent for art acquisitions.
(Up to 5 Business Representatives 1 from each of the recognised Town Teams) This Group provides an important role in advising the City on the attraction, retention and growth of businesses in the City and encouraging investment, prosperity and growth in the local economy.
(Up to 6 Community Representatives with relevant experience in Youth Issues) This Group acts in an advisory capacity to identify, advocate for and explore ways of addressing the issues and needs of children and young people (up to 18 years of age) in the City.
(Up to 10 Community Representatives having specialist knowledge and interest in environmental and sustainability issues) This Group plays an important role in advising on environmental matters in the City, particularly in the areas of waste reduction and water and energy efficiency initiatives.
(Up to 10 Community Representatives, including Business) This Group plays an important role in considering and providing advice to the City on a range of transport, traffic and road safety matters.
(Up to 7 Community Representatives, including External Organisations/Representatives) This Partnership plays an important role in exploring, encouraging and promoting ways to enhance safety, security and crime prevention within the City.
(Up to 6 Community Representatives) This Group provides an important role in supporting and enhancing safe and efficient walking and cycling in the City of Vincent and in improving the awareness of the rights of pedestrians and cyclists and encouraging responsible riding.
(Up to 6 Community Representatives) The Working Group plays an important role in guiding the City of Vincent's ongoing journey towards reconciliation, specifically through implementation of our 'Reflect' Reconciliation Action Plan and progression towards our 'Innovate' Reconciliation Action Plan. Community members who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander are strongly encouraged to apply, as are non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members who are interested/involved in reconciliation.
Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced persons to join the City of Vincent's Audit Committee as external members.
The City of Vincent Audit Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to Council regarding financial management, risk management, internal controls, legislative compliance, internal and external audit planning and reporting.
