Relocation of Claisebrook Concrete Batching Plants

Project

The City of Vincent is working toward the relocation of two privately-owned concrete batching plants in Claisebrook. Temporary Development Applications for the two concrete batching plants expire in 2024.

The Hanson and Holcim concrete batching plants have operated at 71 Edward Street and 120 Claisebrook Road since the early 2000s. These sites were intended to be temporary.

Council agreed to offer to facilitate the relocation of the two plants at its 21 November meeting.

Why we need help

The City has long been involved in the planning process for the two remaining concrete batching plants. The City requests the State Government to assist in finding an appropriate alternative location for the concrete batching plants to allow sufficient time to relocate without any further extension of the DA timeframe.
