CONSTRUCTION PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION

Tradespeople undertaking short term works in the City of Vincent can apply for a trades parking permit for trades vehicles.

These permits allow tradespeople to park unrestricted where parking is signposted for time restricted areas.

The cost of each permit is $175 per month, and there is a limit of three (3) permits per single house site or 2 permits per grouped dwelling site.

Permit Conditions

  1. When first applying for the permit, proof of employment must be sighted prior to the issue of the permit.
  2. Maximum of 3 permits per single house site or 2 permits per grouped dwelling site.
  3. Permit are non-transferrable.
  4. Permits are only valid in:
    1. the street where the site is located;
    2. a street that intersects with the street where the site is located; or
    3. a street that is immediately parallel with the street where the site is located
      • Vehicles with permits parked outside of these areas will be subject to the restrictions governing the section of road in which they are parked.
  5. Permits do not remove the requirement to comply with the local law for the following areas:
    1. 30 minutes or less time limit
    2. No Stopping
    3. No Parking
    4. Clearways
    5. Loading Zones
    6. Footpaths, driveways or Verges
    7. Bus or Taxi Stands
    8. Alfresco Dining Areas
    9. ACROD bays
    10. Ticket Machine Zones
  6. Permits do not remove the requirement to comply with the Road Traffic Code 2000.
  7. Permits do not guarantee a parking space in the road/street of the site.
  8. The City reserves the right to revoke the Permit at any time.
  9. The Permit is valid only until date of expiry.
  10. Permits cannot be issued for use on large Commercial Vehicles, with a tare weight of more than 3 tonne.
