Recreation Facilities

The City of Vincent is home to two health and fitness hubs:

Beatty Park Leisure Centre

Established in 1962, Beatty Park is one of Perth's largest leisure centres and includes:

  • 50 metre outdoor pool
  • 30 metre outdoor pool
  • 12 metre outdoor pool
  • 25 metre indoor pool
  • Water playground with slides
  • 750sqm gym
  • Group fitness studios
  • Cycle studio
  • Spa sauna steam room
  • Cafe
  • Creche

City of Vincent ratepayers are entitled to 10% off membership fees at Beatty Park.

Loftus Recreation Centre

Neighbouring the City of Vincent Library and Community Centre, Loftus Recreation Centre includes:

  • Four indoor multipurpose courts
  • Outdoor astro turf soccer court
  • 760sqm gym

  • Creche

Sportsgrounds and Reserves

The City of Vincent has a number of sportsgrounds available for team sports and community events.

These reserves are free for the community to use, however may be regularly hired by sporting clubs.

The City of Vincent recognises that physical activity is a valuable element of a healthy and vibrant community. The City is committed to providing places for people to participate in a wide range of activities that enhance physical health and well-being.

Community Grants

The State government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is a major supporter of sport within the City of Vincent. Sport and recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier and safer communities.

The DLGSC has a number of online and interactive training models and videos to assist clubs grow and develop the administration side of their organisation. You can find these helpful tools at the DLGSC website.

Seniors Recreation Council

The Seniors Recreation Council publishes a directory of sport and recreation activities for adults called 'Add Life to Your Years'. 

Seniors Recreation Council of WA Inc. a uniquely Western Australian organisation is recognised as the peak body for organisations supporting seniors' involvement in sport and recreation the Council is constantly reviewing its strategies to increase the participation of seniors in sport, recreation and associated physical and mental activity. Within the Council’s resource limitations it has directed initiatives towards the areas of participation encouragement, policy development, community leadership promotion and the over fifties potential for community contribution.

Australian Sports Commission

The Australian Sports Commission is governed by a board of commissioners which includes former athletes, business people and journalists, each with extensive, first-hand knowledge of Australia’s sporting landscape.
