Environmental Sustainability

We are committed to acting in a sustainable way and to promoting sustainability within Vincent's diverse community. We are ready to work with you to ensure the livability of Vincent for future generations whilst continuing to meet our current needs.

In this section, you will find our events, green initiatives, TravelSmart information, plans and environment strategy. Each of these sections will open out to give you a wealth of information about what’s going on in Vincent.

Sustainable Environment Strategy 2019-2024

The City has adopted a Sustainable Environment Strategy. It includes bold but realistic targets across five key focus areas – energy, transport, water, waste and urban greening and biodiversity.

Get Involved

Want to get involved in community actions and activities that promote environmental sustainability? Transition Town Vincent (TTV) is a great starting point. TTV connects people and groups to work towards a common goal of sustainable living and building a sustainable community. Proudly supported by the City, TTV welcomes new members and participants to their range of events and initiatives. TTV is happy to promote your environmental projects and events, auspice grants for unincorporated community groups and allow such groups/individuals to come under their insurance for events (where appropriate).

To find more local groups working toward sustainability, check out our Green Resources link above.
