Reducing our impact on the environment and acknowledging our leadership role in building community awareness and responsibility for the way in which we use resources is Vincent’s mission!

The City is committed to acting in a sustainable way and promoting sustainability within Vincent's diverse community. We've got a whole team of people ready to work with you to ensure the livability of the City for future generations whilst continuing to meet and exceed our current needs.

In this section of the website, you will find the current City run programs and events, green initiatives, TravelSmart information, Vincent's Greening Plan and details relating to the City’s Sustainable Environment Strategy 2011-2016. Each of these sections will open out to give you a wealth of information about what’s going on in the City!

To help identify our green projects and initiatives, we have created a new Greening Vincent logo (as shown in the image at the top of this page, and also below). Look for this logo on signage, in print media and on the net, attached to all the great green initiatives in progress in your City.

Green Fact Sheets

The City of Vincent's 'Green Team' has put together a series of five new fact sheets to help you learn more about:

  • Composting
  • Worm farming
  • In-ground worm farming
  • Using bokashi
  • Recycling & Hazardous Household Waste (HHW)

Check them out at the 'Green Resources' link above.
