Publicly Available Council Registers

In the interests of openness and transparency, the City of Vincent has decided to make publicly available a number of information registers on the website:

Council Members and Employees Business Dealings / Contracts Register

Records business dealings / contracts with entities that have a relationship with any serving Council Member or Employee (in accordance with Policy 4.2.10 – Council Members and Employees Business Dealings with the City)

Register of Common Seal Usage

Records all occasions that the City’s common seal is used to execute a document.

Register of Complaints referred to under Section 5.121 of the Local Government Act 1995

Records complaints of minor breaches defined in the Local Government Act 1995, Section 5.105

Contracts Register

Records details of all contracts above the value of $150,000 entered into by the City.

Council Member Contact with Developers Register

Council at its meeting on 2 June 2015 adopted Policy No. 4.2.15 - Council Member Contact with Developers to provide guidance on contact between Council Members and Developers operating in the City of Vincent. Under Policy No. 4.2.15, Council Members must record the nature and type of any ‘prescribed contact’ which they have with a developer and provide a copy of that record to the CEO within 10 days of the contact occurring. 

Elected Members Professional Development Register

Council at its meeting on 28 July 2020 approved publication of the Elected Member Professional Development Register. This register includes training completed in the last financial year in accordance with section 5.127 of the Local Government Act 1995. 

Register of Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests

Records details of FOI requests received and dealt with by the City.

Current Register of Gifts

On 20 October 2019 a new gift regime began for local government CEOs and council members.

The new framework requires council members and CEOs to declare any gift over $300 that is received in their official capacity as a council member or CEO.

Contributions to travel costs, whether financial or otherwise, will no longer be treated separately. These are now incorporated within the definition of gift.

The City’s current gift register contains disclosures made by Council Members and the CEO in accordance with the new gift framework.

Register of Interests Disclosed at Council Meetings

Council at its meeting on 5 April 2016 resolved to create and publish an online register of Financial, Proximity and Impartiality Interest disclosed by Council Members and Staff at Ordinary and Special Council Meetings commencing from February 2016.  The Local Government Act 1995 (Section 5.66) deals with the disclosures of interest in any matters before Council.

Records information relating to leases entered into by the City. 

Tender Register 2020

Records details of each tender called by the City in the format prescribed in Regulation 17 of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations.
