KidSport enables Western Australian youth to participate in community sport and recreation, no matter their financial circumstances

Eligible youth aged 5 to 18 years can apply for financial assistance to contribute towards club fees, up to $200 per calendar year.

The fees will go directly to the sporting club through the City of Vincent.

While the primary objective of KidSport is to ensure all Western Australian children can participate in sport and recreation clubs, its secondary objective is to engage these children and their families in the community.

What are the eligibility criteria?

  • Applicants must be aged 5 to 18 years
  • Applicant must have a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card
  • Applicant's primary place of residence must be in the Local Government Area they are applying

What else?

Funding will cover the cost of fees to join the nominated sport or recreation club

Maximum of up to $200 per child per calendar year, you can use this to join more than one club if you like
Fees are only for the nominated registered season

No retrospective fees will be paid

No limitations to number of applications per family as long as the criteria is met

How to Apply?

  • You can apply for your KidSport online, if you hold a valid Health Care Card/ Pensioner Concession Card. Please visit the KidSport Online Database at
  • If you don't have access to a computer, please contact the City of Vincent for an application form by emailing or calling 9273 6564
  • Alternatively, come into the City Administration and Civic Centre and an Officer from Community Partnerships will be able to assist you.
