Waste Strategy 2018 - 2023

We have developed a new strategy to govern the management of the City's waste from 2018 - 2023, with the aim of achieving zero waste sent to landfill by 2028. The full strategy can be found on the page below.

FOGO Rollout

In late October 2021, the City began transitioning to a three-bin service, which now includes a new FOGO bin. Apartment complexes also transitioned to the 3 bin FOGO service between March - June 2022. 

FOGO stands for Food Organics Garden Organics.

It's a public holiday - will my bins be collected?

All bins are collected on public holidays except for Good Friday (Easter)Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year's Day (1 January). On these days, bins will be collected on the following day.

What do I do if my bin is damaged or stolen?

If your bin is damaged (cracked, lid or wheels are missing or broken) or stolen please contact the City's Waste and Recycling Team on 9273 6000 or email mail@vincent.wa.gov.au
