The 2021 St Patrick’s Day Festival may be on hold this year, but our local businesses are still offering up rollicking live music, traditional dancers and films to celebrate all things Irish.
If you’re looking to paint the town green on March 17, Fibber McGee’s, the Queens and the Hip-e Club are all hosting Irish-themed celebrations.
Or you could check out the screening of the documentary Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan at Luna Cinemas.

What better way to celebrate St Patrick's Day than with a nip of Pogues Irish Whisky, Otherside Brewing beer, rollicking Irish trad music from the trio, Gan Ainm and Siena's pizza slices.
About the film: Filmmaker Julien Temple examines the explosive life and career of Shane MacGowan, lead singer of the Pogues.
Executed in a full-tilt, hell-for-leather manner recalling the frenzy of the Pogues’ performances, CROCK OF GOLD combines interviews, glimpses of MacGowan today, archive footage plus a torrent of original animation to evoke the splendour and squalor of a very singular talent.
