The City of Vincent is seeking community feedback on proposed amendments to its Advisory Groups Policy.

The policy provides guidance for the establishment and operation of advisory groups within Vincent.

At the 22 August Ordinary Council Meeting, Council agreed to give public notice of the amended policy.

Changes to the policy include:

1. Removal of procedural content.
2. A new clause is proposed to enable membership, nomination processes and tenure of appointment, for each advisory group, to be set out in the respective Terms of Reference (ToR). This will enable ToR to be specific to the group and its individual needs.
3. A template ToR has been developed and will be linked to the Policy to provide guidance to groups.

Community consultation is open until Monday 9 October 2023.
