2021/22 Blackspot Programme- Anti-Skid Surfacing Loftus Street and Vincent Street, Leederville- Night Works

Published on Tuesday, 30 November 2021 at 11:48:00 AM

What's Happening?

As part of the City's 2021/22 Blackspot Capital Works program, we wish to advise that contractors will be applying anti-skid surfacing on each of the approach lanes of the Loftus Street and Vincent Street intersection. The surfacing will be applied for 50m back from the stop line, and will involve surface cleaning and application of adhesive rock grit.

The works will occur Monday to Thursday nights over 2 weeks commencing on 28 November to 9 December 2021, from 8pm to 6am, weather permitting.

Please note

Access to adjacent residences and businesses may be restricted during the works. While access to your property will be restricted during these operations it will be restored at the end of each shift.

Access through the intersection will only be partially reduced, so only 1-2 lanes of each approach will be done each night. This will necessitate two nights of work on each approach direction.

If you live on Loftus Street south-bound or Vincent Street west-bound and you need your vehicle during the works, can you please ensure that it is removed out of the work zone prior to 8pm until the works are completed.

Sweeping and adhesive application processes may cause dust and odours, so residents are advised to ensure windows are closed and evaporative air conditioners are not in use while works are being completed.
