Your priorities for a sustainable Vincent

Published on Monday, 8 April 2024 at 3:53:50 PM

We are working on our next strategy for a sustainable Vincent and want to make sure it reflects the priorities of our community.

The Enhanced Environment Strategy will follow on from our current Sustainable Environment Strategy 2019-2024. It will continue our work in more sustainable energy and water use, waste, transport, reducing emissions, and greening, while helping us meet Federal and State Government environmental targets.

We are proud of what we’ve achieved so far and have celebrated strong progress towards greener practices in our everyday operations. This includes reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 48 per cent, planting more than 15,000 trees and achieving a City-wide 37 per cent reduction of waste to landfill, all within the past five years.

There’s always more we can do to reduce our impact on the planet. That’s why it’s important to understand what matters most to the people who live, work and visit Vincent. Focusing our efforts will help us make a bigger difference.

Have your say on what matters most by completing our quick survey. Consultation is open until 4pm Monday, 29 April 2024.
