Ticketless parking is coming to Vincent

Published on Monday, 11 March 2024 at 2:56:00 PM

Ticketless parking is coming to all major City of Vincent carparks and some on-street locations.

Currently, users are required to enter their registration plate and display a ticket.

From 25 March 2024, users will only need to ensure that they have entered their registration plate correctly.

With licence plate recognition technology monitoring major carparks, there is no need to display a ticket.

The following carparks and on-street locations will become ticketless:

  • The Avenue carpark
  • Frame Court carpark
  • Brisbane St carpark
  • View St carpark
  • Rosemount Hotel carpark
  • Wasley St carpark
  • Raglan Rd carpark
  • Chelmsford Rd carpark
  • Barlee St carpark
  • Loftus Centre carpark
  • Carr Pl
  • Bold Court

Rangers will be able to identify whether a parking session is current or not. Parking regulations will remain the same.

On average, users of Vincent’s carparks print around 18,000 tickets a week. The move to ticketless will save paper, providing a more efficient and environmentally friendly way to manage parking.

An option will still be available for a user to print a receipt at the machine if required for business or tax purposes.

Alternatively, people can pay and monitor their parking through the EasyPark mobile app.

Since the introduction of EasyPark in Vincent in 2017, over 230,000 patrons have transitioned to paying and managing their parking without using ticket machines.
