Recycle at E-waste Drop-Off Day

The City of Vincent has partnered with Good Sammy and Total Green Recycling to recycle and reuse electronic waste (e-waste) items, in a bid to keep harmful chemicals out of landfill.

E-waste like TVs, computers and mobile phones can't go in kerbside bins and need to be recycled through a specialist service to prevent harm to the environment.

Residents are invited to bring their unused electrical and battery-operated items to Britannia Reserve Carpark in Leederville on Saturday 3 February between 7 and 10.30am. The E-waste Drop-Off Day will be a drive-thru service and proof of residency will be required.

The last drop-off event saw 11-tonnes of e-waste recycled. As a new addition this year, residents can also bring along polystyrene and cardboard packaging to be recycled.

Good Sammy will be at the event to collect donations of electrical or battery powered items in good working condition. Anything not fit for reuse will be disassembled by Total Green for the metals and materials to be recovered for further recycling.

We encourage residents to arrive early as our last drop-off day was very popular.
