The City of Vincent is reviewing the Local Planning Policy in relation to the development of new Consulting Rooms and Medical Centres and is seeking feedback on the proposed amendments.

Consulting Rooms and Medical Centres are types of land uses that can be approved in many of the Vincent’s precincts and suburbs. 

Through its Local Planning Scheme and Policies, the City provides guidance on the development of Consulting Rooms and Medical Centres through the existing 7.5.22 Consulting Rooms Policy.

The amended policy aims to ensure the City is supporting the establishment of these businesses and making sure they operate in a way that doesn’t negatively impact surrounding neighbourhoods.   

Changes include clearer provisions on where and when these businesses can operate, and general updates to reflect more recent legislation.

Feedback is open until Wednesday 13 September 2023.
