Vincent’s 2025 Local Government Election Results

Thank you to everyone in our community who voted in the 2025 local government election.

Following the close of polls on Saturday 18 October, the successful candidates have been confirmed.

The count of the votes commenced at 6pm on Saturday 18 October 2025 at the City of Vincent Administration Building, conducted by the City's Returning Officer.

Results listed below include first preferences and the votes at last count, which includes preferences.

    North Ward

    There were four candidates contesting two North Ward Councillor vacancies.

    • Alex Castle 
    • Con Poulios
    • Michael Della Maddalena
    • Murray Argus

    Alex Castle and Con Poulios were elected as North Ward Councillors for a four-year term.

    South Ward

    There were five candidates contesting two South Ward Councillor vacancies.

    • Reece Wheadon
    • Sophie Greer
    • Marcus Fernihough
    • Rose Marks
    • Philip Carrivick

    Sophie Greer and Reece Wheadon were elected as South Ward Councillors for a four-year term.

    The City of Vincent Council is made up of nine Elected Members:

    • Mayor - represents the entire district.
    • Council Members – North Ward (4).
    • Council Members – South Ward (4).

    Our newly elected Councillors will be sworn in, and a Deputy Mayor elected, at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday 21 October 2025.

    They join Mayor Alison Xamon and continuing Councillors Nicole Woolf, Suzanne Worner, Ashlee La Fontaine and Ashley Wallace to form the new Council.

    Congratulations to our newly elected and returning Councillors and we sincerely thank outgoing Councillors Jonathon Hallett and Ron Alexander for their commitment and contribution to Vincent.
