Verge Collections
Residents can book verge-side waste collections through Verge Valet. Learn how the verge collection service works, how to book a collection, and what you can place on your verge.
About Verge Valet
Verge collection is operated through Verge Valet. Verge Valet replaces traditional set-date collections and offers greater flexibility by allowing you to choose a collection time that suits you.
Types of collections available
There are two types of waste:
- Green waste: Garden material such as branches, clippings and leaves
- Bulk waste: Large household items that can’t be reused, like old furniture or appliances.
Number of collections available per year
Each financial year, you can book:
- One green waste and one bulk waste collection; or
- Two bulk waste collections.
- Two green waste collections.
Additional collections can be booked for a fee (can we add the fee here)
What can be collected
Verge Valet is intended for items which are at the end of life. Before disposing of items consider gifting or donating for better quality items

Book a verge collection
Bookings are made through the Verge Valet website.
You can book up to 8 weeks in advance.
Steps required:
- Go to the Verge Valet website
- Select property type e.g. house, apartment etc.
- Review guidelines on what will and won’t be collected
- Insert your address to see how many collections are available
- Insert your contact details
- Follow the prompts to choose your collection type and complete your booking.
You will receive a confirmation email or text message once your booking is accepted.

Change or cancel a verge collection
You can change, cancel, or postpone your booking by 3:30pm on the business day before your collection date if you have set up an account on the booking system.
Make a change or cancel online
If you have not set up an account, you can phone Verge Valet on (08) 9384 6711 during business hours.
Please let Verge Valet know 3:30pm on the business day before your collection, or you will lose your collection allocation.
Prepare for your verge collect
Place your items on the verge no more than three (3) days before your booking date.
All items must be out by 7am on the morning of your collection.
The maximum pile size for all verge collections is 3 metres wide by 1 metre deep by 1 metre high.
