Charles Veryard Playground Upgrade

The playground at Charles Veryard Reserve in North Perth is due for replacement.

The reserve is a sports ground with floodlights but is also a beautiful shady place for families to enjoy too.

It includes a fully fenced playground which is scheduled for replacement in 2026/27.

Project details

Earlier this year, we asked for feedback on the play elements people would like to see in a new playground.

The community told us they wanted climbing, slides and swings in a spread-out, multi-unit layout.

There was also a preference for natural shade, mixed softfall and keeping the existing fence.

This feedback is incorporated into two concept designs which we can now share with you.

Suitable for ages 1yr+, has 21 activities and a capacity of 28.

Suitable for ages 1yr+, has 16 activities and a capacity of 39.

We now need you to tell us which design you prefer.
