Transport Advisory Group
Transport was previously included in the Sustainability and Transport Advisory Group but at the November 2025 Council meeting, it was resolved to form a standalone Transport Advisory Group (TAG).
The TAG will provide strategic, community-informed insights to support Vincent’s long-term transport planning and decision-making.
Its objectives include to:
- Enhance the effectiveness of the Accessible City Strategy Major Review (scheduled for 2026).
- Provide strategic advice on the City’s transport plans and policies.
- Bring lived experience into strategic transport discussions.
- Support community alignment and transparent decision-making.
- Strengthen Council’s understanding of strategic transport issues.
The City invited nominations for membership of the TAG in December 2025.
Nominations were sought from individuals who met the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications; and
- Expertise or experience in expertise or experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, road safety, active transport or accessibility.
At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 10 February 2026, Council appointed Mayor Xamon, Cr Wallace, Cr Wheadon and Cr Poulios to the Sustainability Advisory Group for the period from February 2026 to October 2027.
Cr Wallace has been appointed as Chair of the group.
