Waste and recycling for businesses

In the City of Vincent, commercial rates do not include waste services and businesses are required to source private contractors to manage their waste management needs. However, if you run a 'micro-business' that can be accommodated by the existing residential route, you may be able to request a discretionary bin service for a fee.

To apply for our micro-business waste option, you must request an assessment form. You can do this by submitting an application via the online form below. 

If your business generates too much waste for the micro-business program, you will need to engage a private commercial waste provider.

The charges for Microbusinesses are applied to the rates notice of the property. The owners permission is needed for Micro business set of bins to be issued.

1 x 140 litre general waste (fortnightly)
1 x 240 litre recycling (fortnightly)
1 x 240 litre FOGO (weekly)
The City will use the WALGA waste generation calculator to confirm anticipated waste volumes.
Terms and conditions
  1. The bins must be presented by 6am on the applicable collection day and will be retrieved within 24 hours of collection
  2. The bins will be presented for collection free of contamination and the receptacle lids will be shut, with the bin weighing less than 70 kilograms
  3. Bin must be stored in a secured location that is not accessible to the public or other tenants in the property.
  4. The City has the right to cease servicing of the business if the service has been deemed not suitable and/or able to be fully aligned with the residential service
  5. The service will be automatically renewed at the start of each financial year with charges being applied to the rates notice
  6. The City must be advised of changes to the business in relation to operations and ownership

  7. This service is not entitled to Verge Valet services and businesses are required to ensure the disposal of all items not suitable to be placed in the kerbside bin system.

The City will provide approved stickers for your bins which will indicate the property number. This sticker must be applied and replaced if damaged.

Fees and Charges

Do you agree to the current Fees and Charges for Microbusiness Waste Service, which are currently $611.00 per annum for the service and $93.50 for an establishment fee.*This field is required.
