Robertson Park
Vincent's largest Tennis Centre and surrounding parkland on Fitzgerald Street is being transformed as the City continues to implement its Robertson Park Development Plan.
The first stage includes upgrading the Tennis Centre entrance and constructing four new multi-sport courts, converting 18 tennis courts to hard courts, installing new lighting and fencing, and enhancing walkways to provide an improved user experience.
Future stages include expanding the public open space along Randell Street, new nature play and outdoor exercise equipment, a public toilet, and other landscape improvements.
The Robertson Park Development Plan responds to a need for more flexible public open space in Vincent, while ensuring our ageing facilities are renewed. With increased density, smaller backyards, and a growing population in our inner-city area, access to recreation and leisure provisions is more important than ever.
The Robertson Park Development Plan was endorsed by Council in September 2021.

Tennis Centre: Multi-Sport Courts
Six tennis courts have been converted to four multi-sport courts complete with new floodlighting and fencing. The new multi-sport courts can accommodate tennis and other sports, including netball.
The upgraded entrance has made the Tennis Centre more welcoming and accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities, and boasts a dual hit-up wall, half basketball court, with a vibrant wall mural.
These works were partially funded by the State Government, through an election commitment from the Hon. John Carey MLA, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ (DLGSC) Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, and DLGSC’s Club Night Lights Program.
