Reusable sanitary product rebate

Reusable sanitary products are a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to single-use items.

The City of Vincent offers a rebate to help residents make the switch and reduce waste going to landfill.

Why choose reusable sanitary products

Every day, millions of single-use sanitary products and their packaging are sent to landfill or incorrectly flushed, contributing to waste, wastewater blockages and environmental pollution.

Many people choose reusable sanitary products because they:

  • Reduce waste sent to landfill
  • Lower the risk of pollution to waterways and wastewater systems
  • Save money over time compared to single-use products
  • Are designed to be comfortable, practical and easy to use

Reusable options are now widely available and easy to access, with many products stocked by supermarkets, chemists and online retailers.

Zero waste refill station reward

Reduce plastic waste at home and be rewarded for refilling instead of buying single-use products.

Find out how the Zero Waste Refill Reward works and how to claim your $20 refill reward below.

Why use the Zero Waste Refill Station

Plastic waste is a growing issue locally and globally. Many everyday household liquids are packaged in single-use plastic that often ends up in landfill or the environment.

Refilling household products using reusable containers helps:

  • Reduce single-use plastic waste
  • Support a circular economy
  • Cut down on packaging and resource use
  • Build simple, sustainable habits at home.

The Zero Waste Refill Station supports residents to reduce waste at the source, rather than relying on recycling alone.

About the refill reward

To encourage the use of reusable containers, the City of Vincent offers a $20 refill reward to eligible residents who use the Zero Waste Refill Station at Beatty Park.

The reward:

  • Is valued at $20 per household
  • Is issued as a voucher through the Monyx app
  • Can be used at the Zero Waste Refill Station
  • Is available once per household, per financial year.

The refill reward supports residents to switch from single-use packaging to refillable containers for common household products.

How the refill station works

The Zero Waste Refill Station is located at Beatty Park Leisure Centre and operates like a vending machine.

You:

  • Bring your own clean, dry containers (plastic containers can be used)
  • Refill with the product you choose
  • Pay based on the volume you dispense

Containers must have old labels removed to avoid confusion at home. Containers are also available for purchase at Beatty Park.

The station is managed by Skipping Stones Refillery, who supply locally made, eco-conscious products including:

  • Dish and laundry liquids
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Body wash and hand wash.

How to redeem your refill reward

To claim the $20 refill reward, you must complete all steps below.

  1. Download the Monyx app (available via Google Play or the Apple App Store)
  2. Create a profile in the Monyx app
  3. Complete the Refill Reward Application Form (see below).
  4. Submit your application together with proof of City of Vincent residency, such as a current driver’s licence, recent rates notice or utility bill.
