Youth Connect is Bringing the Youth Action Plan to Life

The City of Vincent is continuing to empower local young people through its Youth Connect program, with the upcoming Think Solve Lead team workshop giving teens aged 13-16 the chance to build leadership, communication and teamwork skills through a series of fun, hands-on challenges.

Think Solve Lead is the latest in a series of Youth Connect workshops delivered over the past year, including Brains, Breaks and Balance, which helped students manage study and exam stress and Get Set for Work, which provided practical guidance on tax, superannuation, workplace rights and everything you need to know when starting your first job.

Through Youth Connect, the City is creating opportunities for young people to gain life skills, boost confidence, make connections and explore new opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.

The program directly supports our Youth Action Plan 2026 and Beyond, which was shaped by the voices of more than 800 young people. Through practical, engaging workshops that build resilience, develop leadership skills and prepare for their future, Youth Connect is bringing the Youth Action Plan to life and helping Vincent's young people feel connected, valued and ready to thrive.

As the City continues to deliver the actions outlined in the Youth Action Plan, Youth Connect will remain an important pathway for ensuring local young people have access to the skills, experiences and opportunities they need to succeed, both now and into the future.

Young people interested in attending Think Solve Lead can register via the City of Vincent events page.
