The City of Vincent is inviting residents and ratepayers to get involved in local decision-making, with expressions of interest now open for three important committees: the Arts Advisory Group, the Sustainability & Transport Advisory Group, and the Audit & Risk Committee.
These committees play a vital role in guiding the City’s work, from championing creativity and culture, to our sustainability approach, and ensuring strong governance and accountability.
Arts Advisory Group (2025–2027)
The Arts Advisory Group helps shape Vincent’s creative landscape by advising on public art commissions, murals, acquisitions, the City’s art collection, and projects such as the Vincent Film Project.
Members bring expertise across a wide range of artforms and represent the diversity of our community, including Aboriginal artists, LGBTQIA+ creatives, artists with disability, emerging voices and established practitioners.
Sustainability & Transport Advisory Group (2025–2027)
The Sustainability and Transport Advisory Group provides advice on the City’s environmental and transport initiatives, including the Sustainable Environment Strategy, Greening Plan, Bike Network Plan, and Integrated Transport Strategy. Members contribute expertise in sustainability, climate adaptation, transport planning, road safety, and active transport.
Audit & Risk Committee (2025–2027)
The Audit & Risk Committee ensures the City remains accountable and well-governed, with independent members providing oversight across financial reporting, risk management, compliance, and strategic planning.
Up to three independent members will be appointed, including an independent Chair and Deputy Chair.
How to get involved
If you have the skills, passion, and commitment to contribute, we encourage you to apply. Nominations close 5pm, Friday 10 October 2025.
