The Sustainability Advisory Group (SAG) is responsible for preparing and developing the Climate Transition Action Plan (CTAP) and supporting the implementation of the Enhanced Environment Strategy (EES).

The City invited nominations for membership of the SAG in October 2025.

Nominations were sought from individuals who met the following criteria:

• Relevant qualifications; and
• Expertise or experience in environmental sustainability, carbon accounting, and/or climate adaptation.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 11 November 2025, Council appointed Mayor Xamon, Cr Greer, Cr La Fontaine and Cr Wallace to the Sustainability Advisory Group for the period 11 November 2025 to 16 October 2027.

Cr Greer has been appointed as Chair of the group.
