We want to see your poppy displays!

This Remembrance Day, we want to see handmade poppy displays blooming in homes, schools, clubrooms, shopfronts and community spaces across Vincent.

Last year, 3,591 handcrafted poppies were woven together for the display outside the Vincent Administration Building. This year, we’re encouraging the community to take the project into their own hands by creating and displaying poppies in the places where people live, meet and connect.

Get your school, sporting club, community group, local organisation, family or neighbours together for a poppy-making session, then turn your creations into a display of your own. Decorate a window, garden, entrance or clubroom, or work together on an installation for a shared community space.

Need help getting started? Download the free template to craft at home or apply for a free poppy-making kit by Friday 11 September.

However you choose to take part, we want to see your display.

Tag @cityofvincent on Instagram and Facebook so we can showcase the community’s creativity and see the Poppy Project grow into a tribute created across Vincent.

You can also choose to donate your handmade poppies to be included in the City of Vincent display at Keith Frame Reserve from Friday 6 November to Sunday 15 November 2026.
