We've recently expanded our eRideable lending scheme for our staff to encourage active, healthy and environmentally friendly travel.
The scheme allows employees to book an e-bike or e-scooter for short, work related trips, instead of using a fleet car.
The goal is to help reduce noise pollution and traffic congestion in Vincent’s inner city suburbs.
City of Vincent CEO David MacLennan said it was important to provide staff with active and sustainable alternatives for work related trips.
“A trip from our depot to the Administration building only takes 15 minutes door-to-door with an e-bike or e-scooter, so it’s an efficient alternative for attending meetings.
“They are also perfect for site visits. A lot of our work happens in and around the City and some staff spend a significant amount of time in our town centres, at our parks and in residential streets,” he said.
Employees are required to complete a mandatory safety induction before booking an eRideable for the first time.
