Vincent named Western Australia’s most liveable place

The City of Vincent has been rated the most liveable location in Western Australia, and the second most liveable in Australia, for 2025.

The Australian Liveability Census, delivered every two years by social research company Place Score, measures what it’s like to live in communities across the country.

More than 27,000 Australians from over 15,000 locations rated their neighbourhood against fifty markers, including natural environment, visual character, nightlife, safety, shops and cafes and medical services.

People across the country said they value vibrant communities with public open spaces and a variety of clubs and activities. Inclusion, connection and a sense of belonging are just as critical to liveability as housing or transport.

High-density areas were generally rated more liveable compared to low-density ones.

Vincent's inner-city location with its thriving café strips, popular shopping precincts and well-preserved parklands and reserves are among what make it the most liveable location in WA – and one of the best in the country.

Beyond physical spaces, Vincent's population has developed into a wonderfully rich melting pot of cultures and nationalities, which has contributed to its unique diversity and welcoming atmosphere.

Vincent’s vision is for a leafy and vibrant 24-hour city, which is synonymous with quality design and sustainability.

With the ongoing support of our diverse and engaged residents and local businesses, Vincent will continue to be a place people are proud to call home and one that others aspire to be part of.
