Planned works

We are removing the asphalt speed hump outside the Wilson car park on Broome Street in Highgate.

Works to remove the speed hump and reinstate to match the surrounding road surface is planned for Monday 23 March between 2pm and 5pm.

Road closure

We’ll need to close the section of Broome Street during these works, but full access will be restored by 5pm. A traffic team will be on site to direct traffic around the site.

Next steps

Alternative treatments on Broome Street and surrounds are being considered as part of our precinct wide traffic study for Mount Lawley and Highgate.

The community will have the opportunity to see and comment on the recommended road safety treatments by June 2026.
