The City of Vincent is reviewing its existing Council Member Allowances, Fees and Reimbursement of Expenses Policy and inviting community feedback on the proposed changes.
The policy was adopted in July 2002 and last reviewed by Council in May 2022.
It aims to provide clear guidance on how Council Members are financially supported while performing their official functions and duties.
While not changing the objective of the Policy, the review:
- brings the Policy into line with current legislation and the 2026 SAT Determination
- aligns event reimbursements with our Attendance at Events Policy and Council Member Continuing Professional Development Policy
- updates ICT allowance arrangements and provisions for the use of personal devices
- introduces new superannuation provisions for Council Members
- updates insurance arrangements to accurately reflect the City’s policies
- removes operational and ceremonial matters from the Policy.
