Today’s West Australian has incorrectly reported City of Vincent’s rate increase for 2019/20.

The 2019/20 Budget adopted at last night’s Council meeting includes a 2.7 per cent increase for residents and 1.5 percent increase for our local businesses. Not 2.9 per cent as quoted in The West.

We are currently the fourth lowest rating Council of all 29 metropolitan Councils.

The current average residential rate in Vincent is $1,501.54. In comparison, the average rate for our eight neighbouring Councils is currently $1,670.96.

A 2.7 per cent increase on the average Vincent residential rate is $40.50.
