Rainbow Picnic brings community together at Hyde Park

Rainbow families, friends and allies came together at Hyde Park on Sunday 1 November for a successful afternoon of fun, connection and celebration at the City of Vincent’s third Rainbow Picnic.

Part of PrideFEST 2026, the free, family-friendly event brought our community together to celebrate diversity and enjoy a welcoming space where everyone could feel included.

Families enjoyed an afternoon of free activities and entertainment, including mini golf, face-painting, origami, glitter bar, live portraits, arts and craft and giant bubbles.

We especially thank the community groups, clubs and organisations that took part, shared their services and helped create a welcoming afternoon for our community:

  • RTRFM – All Things Queer
  • Freedom Centre & WAAC
  • Perth Rainbow Swans Swimming Club
  • Transfolk of WA
  • Perth Pride Choir
  • Youth Pride Network
  • GRAI
  • Loton Park Tennis Club
  • Unicorn Walks
  • Living Proud
  • OUTDance
  • Rainbow Futures
  • Neami National
  • Helping Minds

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Rainbow Picnic such a success.

Rainbow Picnic was proudly delivered by the City of Vincent with support from Lotterywest.
