The City of Vincent is inviting community feedback on a proposal to name the laneway off Haynes Street, between Charles and Sydney streets in North Perth, Ruskin Lane.
The name recognises Ruskin Studios, a well-known Perth photography studio in the 1910s.
Ruskin Studios photographed many people connected with the history of the Vincent area, giving the proposed name a link to our local story.
Ruskin Lane meets Landgate’s road-naming requirements, including requirements around the length and duplication of road names.
We’d like to hear from the community before progressing the proposed name.
If supported, the City will submit Ruskin Lane to Landgate for approval.
