Privacy and Information Breach Policy

The City of Vincent is updating its Privacy and Information Breach Policy and is inviting community feedback on the proposed changes.

The revised policy aligns with Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) Act 2024, which sets clear standards for how government agencies in Western Australia collect, use, store and share personal information.

The City’s current Privacy Policy, adopted in November 2010, no longer reflects the broader scope set out in the new legislation.

The proposed Privacy and Information Breach Policy will enable the City to meet the requirements of the PRIS Act.

The revised policy will also:

  • Provide clear and consistent guidance on our approach to privacy and responsible information sharing.
  • Establish a framework for managing, recording and reporting information breaches.

Visit Imagine Vincent to find out more and share your feedback.

Consultation closes 4pm Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
