Work is well underway to underground power in the North Perth/Mt Hawthorn project area, with many areas now seeing sites being reinstated to their original condition.
The contractor (MME) aims to complete work and move on as quickly as possible, but some sites may need to stay open for several weeks, pending completion of connections, which may delay reinstatement works.
During the Christmas and New Year period, Western Power has advised that MME’s last day of construction work this year will be Friday 19 December and will restart in 2026 on Monday 5 January.
MME will aim to close all open holes before they shut down for Christmas and New Year, and verges will be made safe with temporary reinstatements.
