The City of Vincent will be commencing the next stage of its Robertson Park development in April.
As part of Stage 1B, the existing synthetic turf courts will be converted to hard courts, with upgraded floodlighting and fencing.
The central walkway will be enhanced to incorporate shade structures, seating, drainage, and rain gardens with native plants and trees.
Works will commence from 22 April.
These include:
- conversion of 12 synthetic turf tennis courts to acrylic hard courts
- installation of 350 lux LED floodlighting
- replacement of the tennis court fencing
- widening of the central thoroughfare for improved access
- establishment of rain gardens with native planting and trees
- an integrated stormwater drainage system
- new shade structures and seating throughout
These works are being delivered in partnership with the State Government, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries – a major supporter of community sport and recreation facilities in Western Australia.
There is expected to be minimal impact to parking, with the tennis centre carpark remaining open to the public.
This stage is expected to be completed in late 2025.
