Following the recent Local Heritage Survey consultation, we are proposing to formalise the Lacey Street Precinct as a Heritage area.
If supported, this would ensure planning guidance better reflects the identified heritage values and built form of the area.
There are currently three Heritage Areas in Vincent: Brookman and Moir Streets, Janet Street and Harley Street.
The Local Planning Policy: Heritage Area Guidelines aim to ensure that character and heritage values in these areas aren’t compromised by new development.
We are also proposing amendments to these guidelines, which do not alter their overall intent but reflect the 2024 changes to the Residential Design Codes Volume 1.
Visit Imagine Vincent to find out more about these proposals and to have your say.
This consultation closes 4pm Monday, 3 August 2026.
