The City of Vincent is developing a Heritage Strategic Plan to celebrate and protect our unique heritage, and your feedback will help shape it.
We recently completed a review of Vincent’s heritage places, and the resulting documents were adopted by Council at its December 2025 meeting.
Now that we have an updated record, we can focus on how we support heritage management and encourage greater community interest and understanding.
The Heritage Strategic Plan is a long-term action plan which will ensure that as an organisation, we:
- have strong local policies to protect our heritage buildings and places
- manage our own heritage assets
- comply with legislative requirements.
This plan will use WALGA's Model Heritage Strategy for Local Governments as a framework and will reflect community perspectives on heritage values, priorities and potential incentives to support owners caring for heritage places.
We welcome feedback from everyone, including heritage property owners, community groups, heritage professionals, state agencies and anyone interested in Vincent’s heritage.
Help us create a strategy that reflects community priorities and provides practical benefits for heritage property owners.
Visit Imagine Vincent to find out more and have your say.
This consultation closes 4pm Monday, 23 February 2026.
