The City of Vincent will soon be delivering two new eco-zoning enhancement projects at Britannia Road Reserve and Litis Stadium verge of Britannia Road, Mt Hawthorn.
Over 23 eco-zoning projects have been completed since the program began in 2011.
Eco-zoning is the conversion of under used turf areas into waterwise native gardens.
As well as reducing the pressure on groundwater use, it increases habitat and biodiversity through careful species selection.
Newly created garden areas will be mulched and planted with a range of suitable hardy natives.
The total area being converted is approximately 1,400 square metres and the estimated saving of annual ground water is 1.008kL (1008 litres).
Work is scheduled to start around April/May when the weather has cooled and rains are expected.

Comments close 4pm Wednesday, 1 April 2026.
