Kyilla Primary Road Safety Project

The journey to and from Kyilla Primary School is now safer and easier for students, families and the community after recent upgrades completed by City of Vincent.

Upgrades included a designated kiss and drive zone with clearly marked bays to improve traffic flow during busy drop-off and pick-up times, and a clearer road layout provides better access to reduce congestion and unsafe parking.

Following upgrades to the Bedford Street footpath, which now runs continuously between Lawler and Doris streets, students can walk safely around the whole perimeter of the school.

The project was part of Kyilla Primary School’s 2024–2029 Masterplan and supports the City of Vincent Accessible City Strategy.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the project.

City of Vincent installed:

  • 52m of new kerb
  • 32m2 of landscaping
  • 136m2 of new footpath
  • 192m2 of new asphalt
  • A soakwell
