Hyde Park east playground
We've recently completed upgrades to the playground on the eastern side of Hyde Park.
This upgrade is for the smaller playground located near the corner of Glendower Street and William Street.
Project delivery
In October 2024, we invited the community to share their thoughts on the Hyde Park playground project. Based on your feedback, we presented two design options in February 2025 and asked you to choose your preferred one. When asked if a traditional playground layout or a ninja-style course was prefered, the ninja-style was the clear favourite.

The all-new playground is a ‘ropes’ course suitable for a mix of ages with 10 features.

Construction on the new playground was completed in August 2025.
