• Large function space with easy access to Braithwaite Park Nature Play Area via an internal door.
• Spacious kitchen with fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher and urn.
• Restrooms and accessible toilets.
• Reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
• Store room with approximately 26 trestle tables and 129 chairs.
• Barbecue and outdoor toilets available within Braithwaite Park.

Opening hours

Mt Hawthorn Lesser Hall is available for hire during the following hours:

• Sunday to Thursday: 7am - 10pm.
• Friday and Saturday: 7am - midnight.

Capacity

Maximum 157 people.

Parking 

Limited carpark and street parking (Berryman Street and Kalgoorlie Street) is available and may be used by visitors of Braithwaite Park and Mt Hawthorn Community Centre.

Parking at our halls and facilities is limited. We encourage visitors to use active and public transport where possible. Please read the signs before parking - regular Ranger patrols operate at our facilities and parking restrictions apply. 

Accessibility

Mt Hawthorn Lesser Hall is fully accessible and includes accessible toilets that can be accessed via a wheelchair lift.

Waiving of Fees 

The waiving or reduction of fees for the use of Mt Hawthorn Lesser Hall by community groups, organisations and individuals will be considered where such assistance supports the delivery of projects, programs, services or fundraising initiatives. The applicant must identify the specific community benefits associated with their activity and demonstrate their limited financial capacity to pay relevant fees.

Waiver requests are assessed and approved by Administration. An amount up to $2000 may be available with any requests above this amount requiring decision making by Council.
