Learn to Ride Workshops
We're partnering with WestCycle to deliver a free Learn to Ride workshop series this June to help community members build confidence and practical cycling skills.
The workshops are designed for beginners and “rusty riders” looking to improve their confidence and safety when riding.
Participants will work with experienced instructors to learn practical riding skills including braking, turning, gear shifting and safe riding techniques in a supportive environment.
The first three sessions will focus on bike riding skills and confidence building:
- Saturday 6 June | 10am – 11.30am
- Saturday 13 June | 10am – 11.30am
- Saturday 20 June | 10am – 11.30am
The final workshop on Saturday 27 June at 10am will focus on eScooter safety and education for participants aged 16 years and over.
The eScooter session will cover road rules, safe riding behaviour and practical handling skills including balance, acceleration and controlled braking.
