Beatty Park ReSERVE

Major improvements are in the works at Beatty Park Reserve in North Perth. The project includes a new playground, toilet block and irrigation systems.

The reserve is popular with community members and sporting groups alike and the existing playground, built in 2005, is in need of a refresh.

Now Complete

New playground

In October 2024, we invited the community to share their thoughts on the Beatty Park Reserve playground project. Based on your feedback, we presented two design options in February 2025 and asked you to choose your preferred one. You can find more details about this consultation on Imagine Vincent here

The new playground incorporates more play equipment with a mixture of rubber soft fall and soft sand.

Designed for children aged 0–12, the playground offers 18 activities. The main attraction is the 25m sky rider, providing dynamic play for teenagers as requested in feedback, plus:

  • Premium multiplay units with a tunnel, poles, monkey bar, spider web, turbo slide, staircase, story panel, sand play zone and more
  • Triple swing
  • Lorikeet rocker

We've also added a barrier between the playground itself and the flying fox component.

Construction of the new playground was completed August 2025.
