Asbestos

Asbestos is a health risk when fibres are released into the air and breathed in. Some waste recovery centres will accept asbestos on the condition it is compliant.

Asbestos has strict disposal requirements to ensure:
1. Fibres can't escape
2. It doesn't come apart during transport and handling
3. That there are no sharp edges or corners breaking through

Please call the disposal facility you plan on using, a minimum of 24 hours prior to arriving with the asbestos, to obtain details on how to securely prepare asbestos for transport and disposal.  It must be transported and presented in bundles that can be unloaded by the customer without requiring staff assistance and without dropping.

If you have asbestos you need to dispose of, it must be taken to your nearest Asbestos disposal site
