Residential Only Bulk Verge Collections

The City conducts one General Household Junk and two Greens Waste Only bulk verge collections each year. Please note that these collections are for Residential Properties only.

Residents will be notified via flyer in the letterbox at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the scheduled collections. An advertisement will be placed in the local community papers and details will also be provided on the City's Facebook, Twitter and e-Newsletter (subscribe here).

Please don't put out items for collection earlier than two weeks prior to the date your collection is due to commence, as you may be fined for littering. In locations where the verge is very small or consisting of footpaths only, green waste is to be put out as close to commencement of collection as possible. Alternatively, contact Waste Minimisation. All material must, where possible, be kept clear of reticulation, footpaths, street signs, poles and fences.

Waste collection is a major cost for the City of Vincent and therefore our ratepayers too. Failure to comply with the above conditions may result in the deposited material not being collected, or possibly an infringement. If we do not collect an item from your verge, we’ll let you know why via a flyer in your letterbox.
