Free Sustainable Home Events 2018
The City of Vincent are holding a number of free events in June 2018 to help make your home more sustainable.
Home Design Workshop
Date: Saturday 16 June 2018
Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm
Location: City of Vincent Library and Local History Centre, 99 Loftus Street Leederville
Presented by architect Sid Thoo, this workshop is an introduction to the key principles of sustainable home design. Sid will cover a range of sustainable home design topics, including:
- understanding the climate
- choosing building materials
- selecting windows, shading and ventilation design
- renewable energy
- water efficient services and systems

Sustainable House Tour
Date: Saturday 16 June 2018
Time: 2.00pm (20 minute tours for groups of 10)
Location: Mount Hawthorn (address will be provided upon registration)
Following the home design workshop, those who are interested in seeing sustainable house design in action will be able to tour a sustainable home in Mount Hawthorn. Groups of up to 10 will be able to tour the house every 20 minutes from 2.00pm.

Sustainable Home Design Consultation
Date: Monday 18 June & Tuesday 19 June 2018
Time: 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Location: City of Vincent Administration and Civic Centre, 244 Vincent Street Leederville
A number of 25 minute one-on-one consultations with architect Sid Thoo and a City of Vincent planner will be available to those who attended the home design workshop. Consultations are strictly limited so be sure to book early.
