2019 Election

Election results

Local Government Elections were held on Saturday 19 October 2019.

Mayor Emma Cole was appointed unopposed and will return as the Mayor of Vincent holding office for four years to 21 October 2023.

North Ward 

There were two candidates for North Ward to fill the two vacant positions.

Dan Loden and Sally Smith were appointed unopposed and will hold office for four years to 21 October 2023.

South Ward 

There were six candidates for South Ward to fill two vacancies.

Susan Gontaszewski and Ashley Wallace were elected as South Ward Councillors and will hold office for four years to 21 October 2023.

A swearing in ceremony was held at 6pm on Tuesday 22 October at Council Chambers, followed by a special council meeting to elect the Deputy Mayor and appoint Elected Members to represent the City on the Tamala Park Regional Council, Mindarie Regional Council and WALGA Central Metropolitan Zone.

Councillor Susan Gontaszewski was appointed unopposed and will return as Deputy Mayor of Vincent holding office for four years to 21 October 2023.

Election Count

The count commenced at 6pm on election day (19 October 2019) at the City of Vincent Administration Centre.
