meals on wheels

The City provides Meals on Wheels services via the Stirling Community Care 'Community Food Services' program. Meals on Wheels services are available to people with disability or a health condition that makes preparing their own meals not possible, via a referral to the program and provided they meet the eligibility criteria. A referral can be made by anyone including the person needing the meals, relatives, friends, neighbours, Home and Community Care, hospital or a doctor.

Meals are prepared fresh and are delivered Monday to Friday each week.  Additional meals are provided for weekends and public holidays.  Where public holidays fall on nominated delivery day’s alternative delivery arrangements are made.

Stirling Community Care is able to cater for some individual requirements, such as texture modified meals or specific diet related meals, like vegetarian or diabetic friendly.  They also accommodate medically diagnosed food allergies, other than nut allergies or intolerances.

To apply for Meals on Wheels services, please visit the Stirling Community Care website, call 9205 7632 or email community.care@stirling.wa.gov.au
