Hyde Park Accessible Playground

An accessible children's playground is located in Hyde Park (cnr Glendower and Throssell Streets).

Complimenting the popular Liberty Swing, the accessible combination playground unit includes various ramps to ensure that the playground is universally inclusive for children of all abilities, their families and carers.

Featuring two climbing nets and two sets of swings, one with special seats enabling persons with minor mobility issues to access and use it with ease, there is an accessible carousel and many items of play accessible from ground level and along the access path including a compass, clock and naughts and crosses.

The playground is neatly nestled between the mature trees along the western end of Hyde Park and landscaped gardens and limestone retaining walls make an interesting area for children to explore and play whilst their parents/carers can sit and watch on theseating areas.
